Chapter 300 - Going Through A Book About Pregnancy, Together.

"Good! Don\'t you want to see your mother and brother again?" the old lady asked keenly.

"No, grandmother, I don\'t want to go back to them, I want to stay with you," the young lady said while looking up to the old lady.

"That\'s right, stay with me," the old lady said in a triumphant smile, as the young lady did the same with different thoughts in their mind.

Liu Longwei and Chen Lihua\'s Villa.

This particular night, the couple was seen going through a pregnancy book together.

After Liu Longwei told Chen Lihua that he would get the books on childbearing and training, he really did it the next day. And that was what greeted Chen Lihua\'s sight when she came back from work that evening.

So since that day, the two try to go over a page a day, but they haven\'t succeeded since then because Chen Lihua was a lot busier than her CEO husband.

She comes home late from the hospital and needs time to rest up and eat, and then she has a major surgery scheduled for the upcoming week.

So each time they held the book to read, something comes up from either her end or his end.

And now they thought they now had time to go through the book together, something came up at Chen Lihua\'s end.

Her smartphone rang, and when she checked the caller ID, she apologized to her husband.

"Darling, I am sorry, but I have to receive this call. It\'s from the hospital."

Liu Longwei nodded to her in a smile, so she went away to receive the call.

Now that his wife was gone, Liu Longwei made up his mind to go through the book alone. If he continued waiting to read the book together with his wife, it might not happen in the near future, so he decided to take a step.

Chen Lihua was on the phone for over twenty (20) minutes before going back to the room.

"You look so tired. Who was on the phone?" Liu Longwei asked in concern.

"It was the Chief. We talked about the heart transplant that would happen in a few weeks," Chen Lihua replied as she hopped onto the bed.

"Are you worried about it?" Liu Longwei asked.

"Yeah, but a little. Am worried because I hope the surgery will be successful," Chen Lihua replied.

"But... are you ready for it?" Liu Longwei inquired.

"Am eighty percent (80%) ready for it. It\'s been almost a year since I last witnessed and participated in a heart transplant, so I am a bit nervous. But everything will be ok because I believe in myself," Chen Lihua said in an encouraging smile.

"Yes, everything will be fine, and I believe in you," Liu Longwei said as he hugged her with one arm.

Closing the book, Chen Lihua asked, "Do you want to sleep now?"

Liu Longwei stared at the book he just dropped on the nightstand before replying.

"Yes. We have to sleep, and you need to rest. You have a big day not far away from you, so you need to keep your body fit. When the surgery is over, we can go through the book together."

Chen Lihua agreed with him. She gave him a good night kiss before going to sleep.

Over the next few days, Chen Lihua prepared for the big day, while Liu Longwei went on to sign contracts with other companies and seal a new business deal.

Today, Chen Lihua was walking out of the hospital on her way home when she bumped into a handsome foreign man.

The man introduced himself, and it turned out that he was a new doctor being transferred to the hospital. So Chen Lihua gave him directions before walking away.

And when she returned home that day, Liu Dongmei called her to plead with her brother because she was tired of staying out of the country.

Chen Lihua agreed to do that as it was not a problem for her, and was a piece of cake on her side.

Liu Dongmei kept thanking her and called her the best sister-in-law in the world before she finally hung up the call.

Chen Lihua smiled to herself as she kept her phone away.

In the night, she spoke to Liu Longwei about his sister\'s matter, and the latter replied.

"Oh, Dongmei? I even forgot about her. You can tell her to come back," Liu Longwei replied before switching off the bed-lamp on his side off.

Chen Lihua quickly sent a text to Liu Dongmei. The latter immediately called her early the next morning to confirm the good news.

Once she was sure of the good, she immediately called her husband Mu Boqin to break the good news. Both of them rejoiced and already planned on where to go to once they met.

That same day, Liu Dongmei booked two flight tickets for her and her daughter back to Country C.

While these families were at peace, some other families found it difficult to breathe properly.

Aunt Lin\'s ex\'s mother, the old lady, insulted the hell out of her ex-daughter in-law\'s family when they came to meet her, demanding to know the reason her son divorced their daughter and chased her out of the house with his children, not leaving a dime for them.

Their words angered the old lady, and that made her leave no stones unturned in insulting them and telling them the kind of calamity their daughter brought to her house.

She even chased them away and threatened to call the police if they dared to step foot into her house again.

When the woman\'s family finally left the house, their reputation and dignity had been trampled upon by the old lady, and they had nowhere to keep their faces because they had been deeply embarrassed.

The old lady didn\'t spare them at all. She vented all the frustrations she had upon them.

So when the woman\'s family reached their houses, they were still speechless.

They left their house bold and ready to fight for their daughter, but it seems like they went to shame their ancestors.
